Machupicchu is a great archeological site created by the Incas, these people built this very complex city and worship areas in the middle of nowhere with these huge carved granite boulders that fit together perfectly and a vast complex and it’s so well restored and if you can if you choose to get into the site as early as possible and just sit on one of these boulders and imagine what life must have been like when the Incas were Thriving there, your imagination will run wild, you will never be in an archaeological site as inspiring as Machupicchu.
Travel Details
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Ollanta train station. Your tour to Machu Picchu begins with a train ride to Aguas Calientes in approximately one hour and a half. This town is also known as “Machu Picchu Pueblo” and is the last stop before entering the remains of the most important archaeological site in Peru. In Aguas Calientes there is a craft market, restaurants and hotels of different categories for those who prefer to spend the night at the foot of the mountain and climb it early the following morning. Finally, after a short bus ride, reach Machu Picchu, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that served as a sanctuary and retreat for the Inca Pachacuti. Machu Picchu, which means “Old Mountain”, It is believed to have been built in the mid-15th century as a ceremonial and political city and abandoned around 1572, probably due to the Spanish conquest. The city was rediscovered in 1911 by archaeologist Hiram Bingham and since then it has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in Peru and the world. and is considered a World Heritage by the UNESCO and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the tour, return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Finally, you return by train to Ollanta Station and to your hotel in Cusco during the afternoon.

About Machu Picchu Entrance Tickets
As the popularity of Machu Picchu has increased in the last few years, and in order to preserve the ancient paths of Machu Picchu, the Peruvian Culture Ministry has restricted the number of people that could enter Machu Picchu to a maximum number of 3,000 people per day. This means that, once all the tickets are sold out, no further entrance tickets will be available. Also, please note that to avoid a secondary market for these tickets, all tickets are issued with the name of the passenger, his/her passport number, nationality and date of birth. Therefore, tickets are non refundable and non transferable. Also the tour to Llaqta or Inka city of Machupicchu should last up to 3 hours, visitors will be divided into 2 turns: from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. pursuant to Art. 16 of the Regulations.
About Huayna Picchu Tickets
Entrance tickets to Huayna Picchu are no longer free. They are now US$12.00 per person. There are two scheduled visits per day, with a limit of 200 people per visit (total of 400 per day). If you are interested in hiking Huayna Picchu, we will need you to let us know at the same time you book your trip since Huayna Picchu tickets need to be purchased in conjunction with Machu Picchu tickets.
Notice that PayPal charges a fee of 5% which we ask the client to cover since it’s due to the use of its service. this taxs is just for online deposits.
